Our Room: this hotel is not that old and but I get there are destructive people who just dont care but we both smoke and wanted a smoking room. He was already pissed so that didnt help but the weekend went further down hill from there! We ended up with a bunch of appetizers and other than the fried shrimp dinner I ordered, the rest sucked! I was ready to go but he was having an issue with his atm because of the set up of the machine so he wasn't gonna let me buy dinner.

Little did we knowbthe beer house was doing a VERY Limited menu due to CV-19. We went to burger bar after getting on line and looking at the menu even though our plan was to go to the hill for a good Italian steak. Sounds good right? Noooo, we got a choice of 3 restaurants beerhouse,asia,or burger bar. My husband was cool with that thinking they would upgrade our room. Finally the girl figures out what had happened and said she was setting us up. He went and got someone else and I brought up the email proving I have a reservation.

Finally a guy comes up and starts looking for our reservation and said we didnt have one and that our last one on aug 11 was a no call no show! I told him that was when I made the reservation for Aug 22. We stood in the lobby waiting for someone to come up front to check us in for a minimum of 15 minutes my husband even asked me if I got any messages anout a hotel closure. We arived at the Hotel about close to 5pm. That's probably the only place I will ever het him to ever go from here out after this experience! We live about 2.5hrs from both cities, we got married in Las Vegas 8yrs ago and the other anniversaries we have gone back to vegas. My husband decided this years anniversary trip was gonna be St.Louis because last years trip we went on a train for the the first time and went to Chicago. We live in Illinois where every bar and most gas stations and liquor stores have gaming machines and there is a River Boat Casino 30 minutes away.

River city has become our favorite Casino and Motel in St.Louis untill the experience we had this weekend. This was the absolute worst trip to River City we have experienced since they opened from the start!
